On April 14th the next adventure begins. I'll be flying to London, England to meet up with Scott. After a few days in London we will be heading out on an organized tour of several World War I sites in France and Belgium. Our family has several connections to ancestors that fought in The Great War and I'm particularly looking forward to visiting Vimy Ridge to see that impressive monument for myself.
This trip may not have the feel-good tone of earlier vacations but will be hopefully rewarding in other ways. I'm particularly looking forward to sharing this journey with Scott who seems to share my own interest in history and how history helps define who we are and how we came to be.
